The eight national cycle of the Annual Seminar ended with The New European Security Agenda – Security, Stability and Regional Cooperation seminar in held Subotica from 31 March – 3 April.

During a session in the Subotica City Hall, Mrs. Kinga Gál and Eduard Kukan, Members of the European Parliament talked with seminar participants as well as seminar guests about the role of the European Parliament and Europe of citizens. Participants also had the opportunity to hear more on the European Integrations of Slovenia, Hungary and Sweden from the representatives of the Diplomatic Core. Relevant experts talked about the institutions of international justice, the rule of law and modern migrations. The challenges of Serbian security processes and energy security in Europe were also topics at this seminar. The participants discussed the current issues – the crisis in Africa and the Middle East as well as the Belgrade-Pristina talks.

 

The participants of this program, as the prior generations did, will have the opportunity to join their peers from other CoE Schools of Political Studies during the Summer University for Democracy to be held end of June in Strasbourg.
