The final event within the Public dialogue on Sustainable Use of Energy in the South East Europe project was the third Seminar, held from 2nd to 4th March in Zrenjanin.
This seminar was dedicated to the energy efficiency in buildings, where participants got a chance to talk not only about the Regulation on Energy Efficiency of Buildings and the Law on Rational Use of Energy, but also the importance of property ownership as the basis for this important topic. Participants discussed these issues with the professors from relevant Faculties, representatives of international organizations active in energy efficiency issues as well as representatives of the relevant agencies and utility companies.
By visiting the hospital in Zrenjanin, which installed solar panels for heating water for its own needs, participants were introduced to one of the examples of good practice in Serbia. They also had the opportunity to see a recycling facility for medical waste within the hospital.
Having in mind the importance of this topic and interest of the participants for this Project, the BFPE will certainly put great emphasis on energy policy in its future activities.
