The European Integration Office of the Republic of Serbia, the European Movement in Serbia and the Belgrade Fund for Political Excellence organized a round table on “Serbia’s EU Accession Negotiations - An Opportunity to Participate in Change” addressing further steps awaiting Serbia on the road to EU membership. The roundtable was held on 4 April in Belgrade.
The main topic was the presentation of past experiences and analysis of the upcoming steps for the Republic of Serbia within the EU Integration process, aiming to include all structures of society in activities relevant for the successful launch of accession negotiations. Participants were MPs, representatives of state institutions, independent regulatory bodies, chambers of commerce and business associations, academic and research institutions, civil society organizations and other interested individuals.
Introductory speeches were given by Stefano Sannino, Director General of DG Enlargement and Neighborhood Policy, Slavica Đukić Deјanović, Speaker of the National Assembly of Serbia, Milica Delević, Director of the Office for EU Integration, Maјa Bobić, Secretary General of the European Movement in Serbia, Miloš Bugarin, President of the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia, Saša Јanković, Ombudsman, Mihailo Crnobrnja, Dean of the Faculty of Economy, Finance and Administration and Sonja Licht, President of the Belgrade Fund for Political Excellence.
Representatives of independent regulatory bodies, non-governmental organizations, universities and several foreign delegations activly participated in the disscussion as well.
