Civil Society for the Future: ISC and BFPE organizing a study visit to Brussels-based institutions

The goal of the study visit is to help prepare representatives of civil society organisations for active participation in the accession process of Serbia to the EU, as well as to familiarize themselves with possibilities that are available, in terms of advocating their policy priorities and building their organizational and human capacities.

In the course of the study visit, participants will meet representatives of the European Parliament, European Commission, Brussels-based civil society organizations, foundations, networks and think-tank groups.

Meetings are slated with:

  • Jean-Eric Paquet, Head of Albania, BiH, Serbia, Kosovo Sector, DG Enlargement, European Commission;
  • Myriam Ferran, Head of Serbia Unit, DG Enlargement, European Commission;
  • François Ducrotté, Programme Manager, International Security Information Service (ISIS Europe);
  • Alexandra Stiglmayer, European Stability Initiative;
  • Fabrice de Kerchove, Project manager, King Baudouin Foundation;
  • Krzysztof Bernacki, Head of Unit of the Pre-Accession Actions Unit in the European Parliament;
  • Mirjam Sutrop and Rebecca Steel-Jasińska, TRIALOG – Development NGOs in the Enlarged Europe;
  • Michael Leigh, Senior Advisor of German Marshall Fund in Brussels and many others.
